The initial meeting was excellent with very good presentation of facts and figures and full explanation. Installation hit a couple of snags which were diligently dealt with. Finished product of eleven panels and battery are excellent.

We did have a few issues with the process, but that’s understandable with the expanding business. I just wanted to say a big thank you to David (the owner) for being amazing in sorting things out as soon as he became aware. You can tell he really cares that customers are happy.

I worked with David Murray from The Energy Experts and I was very impressed. I had specific questions about a solar and battery installation regarding location of equipment and some required electrical upgrades to my fuse board. He was very helpful ... especially how he explained rather complex concepts in plain english!

The install team was great and I can only say positive things about this company, and they were also the cheapest quote I received! Would highly recommend.

They are indeed experts and everything that they have said they would do, they have done. I could not be happier with the results, the only issue is how many of my friends are bored of me telling them about my daily averages and battery levels!

The Fox ESS system was installed in February 2025 and we are delighted with the customer service, quality of installation and equipment. I would highly recommend The Energy Experts based in North East. All the guys were very efficient and professional. The installation process of the panels, Inverter, and storage system was completed within one day, this was so quickly. I was given clear instructions as to how it all worked. As it's over a year since The Energy Experts installed our solar panels, inverter and battery, I can review their advice as well as their workmanship. Advice on number of panels and choice of battery (GivEnergy) has proven to be excellent - in the first full year we exported more electricity than we used, and our first-year bill savings are very close to the estimate in the original proposal. Also, because we have a GivEnergy battery we have benefitted from the GivBack scheme, which allows remote control of the battery to sell energy back to the grid when demand is high. Installation was mostly smooth and communication mostly excellent. When they delivered the materials they dented the door of the fridge-freezer in our garage, but they organised and paid for a replacement with no argument. There were some teething problems with the programming of the inverter, which gave us some initial anxiety, but those were all sorted out in reasonable time. They handled all the paperwork to allow us to sell energy back to the grid promptly. All members of the team were friendly and polite, so that it was a pleasure to deal with them.

They were the last of four companies I requested quotes from, but after my call with Dave I had effectively already decided to go ahead with them. Dave was very professional and straightforward, which felt refreshing compared to what you often get elsewhere. Unlike the other three companies I quoted, The Energy Experts carry out the installation themselves; the others all used subcontractors. That mattered a lot to me. There’s little point checking reviews of an installer if the actual work is done by someone else whose track record you don’t know. Pricing was competitive. Their quote was only slightly higher, and given that I am a long way from their usual area (around six hours’ drive), the slight extra cost was very reasonable. I was expecting it to be much more. I was surprised they were willing to offer the service at all at that distance. We did hit a few snags along the way, but they were resolved quickly. There were some delays getting things started, mostly due to slow responses from the DNO, the holiday period, and the difficult weather conditions in early 2026. Once things got under way, however, the process ran smoothly and the system worked from day one. I was promised a five-star service, and I can confirm that is what I received. The installation team was careful with the property and worked hard, and they were pleasant to talk to during breaks.
